Exhibition Guidelines

March 26–April 6, 2008

The second annual Cascades Azalea Home Tour Exhibition, benefiting the Tyler Museum of Art and the East Texas Crisis Center, is scheduled for March 28–April 6, 2008 at a selected home located in The Cascades of Tyler.

Eligibility
All interested visual artists residing within the Tyler area are invited to apply to participate in this exhibition. Works may be of any two-dimensional medium (except film, video, or Web-based). All works must be original and completed in the past two years, and reflect life in or impressions of East Texas.

TMA does not discriminate with regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin or disability.

Size Limitations
Two-dimensional works, when displayed, should not exceed 36 inches in either height or width, including frame.

Entry Procedures
Artist may submit up to three works for review. 35 mm color slides (not glass mounted) and digital images will be accepted. You may send two slides/images per work, an overall view plus a detail. Slides must be labeled with the artist's name, title of work, medium and dimensions. Digital images should be formatted as JPEG and sent on a CD, with accompanying information providing artist's name, title of work, medium and dimensions.

Send entry form, slides/digital images and a self-addressed, stamped envelope (for return of images or slides) to be RECEIVED no later than March 3, 2008, and mailed to:

You will be notified by e-mail by March 14, 2008, if any of the works submitted have been selected for inclusion in the exhibition.

Photography
The Tyler Museum of Art reserves the right to photograph works in the exhibition for publicity and educational purposes.

Shipping
Each accepted work must be dropped off and picked up at the artist's expense. All 2-D artworks must be framed with hangers or be wired for hanging. Artworks must be delivered to the Tyler Museum of Art between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. March 20–21, and be picked up between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. April 14–15. Special arrangements can be made to pick up artwork on April 7 at the Cascades exhibition site by calling 903-595-1001.
